Eat less move more does not work.  Ready to find out what does?

This course was created initially as a tool for my patients to continue learning about their health outside of their office visits.  There is so much information to cover that by the end of our visits they looked like they had been trying to drink from a fire hydrant.  I designed this course to break down each topic weekly into bite sized pieces to more easily digest.  It is designed as a broad overview to help as many people as possible.  If your are looking for the minutia, this is not the course for you.  My goal is to teach you how to change your nutrition and lifestyle in order to achieve the best health you can.

I am Dr. Lisha Town.  I went to medical school with the idea that I was going to help people become healthy.  Once I made it in to practice, I found my job to be more managing prescriptions.  I would give the advice I had been taught, "you have to eat less and move more."  I would even calculate just how much of a calorie deficit my patients would need each day to lose their target amount.  The trouble is, the advise rarely worked.  It must have been that they just weren't trying hard enough right?  Wrong!!  The advise didn't work, because it was wrong.

During medical school we spend very little time on nutrition and much more time on learning to diagnose disease and what medication to prescribe to treat these diseases.  I spent years researching this information on my own to try and understand just where we had gone wrong. I am using this program to help get this information out and help as many people as possible.

It is my mission to help you take control of your health. To give you solutions to implement that actually work.

In this day in age when we have so much information at our fingertips and so many resources available, why are we so unhealthy? In a recent study, only 6.8 percent of adults in the U.S. are metabolically healthy. That is a sad and scary statistic.

I do not believe it is a lack of effort or willpower that our nation is struggling so much with obesity and chronic disease. I do believe it is an over abundance of ultra-processed foods that promise convenience but deliver nutrient devoid foods that do not fuel our bodies appropriately.

Chronic disease should not be the norm.  Our bodies do not have a medication deficiency that needs supplementing.  Learn how to take charge of your health and feel the best you can.  There is so much we have gotten wrong over the past 50 years.  It is time to start questioning the current recommendations and think outside of the box.  There are so many topics that we are going to explore.  This is a list of some of the topics we will be covering.  I am so excited to begin sharing!

Don't wait! Start your journey today.

You will receive weekly lessons to walk you along the path to optimal metabolic health.
